The huge big block displacement engines were long gone and replaced by an assortment of options to include a V6, a diesel V8, or a Digital Fuel Injection V8 as options under the hood.
The upscale Fleetwood Brougham was now the last surviving rear-wheel-drive Cadillac in the fleet, and midway thru 1985, Cadillac would no longer offer the stylish Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance in a 2-door Coupe configuration.
Only the 4-door examples would continue, making these Coupes exceptionally hard to find in good condition after more than 35 years have passed by.
Where the Sedans had a full-length vinyl top, the Coupes received a unique Cabriolet style padded vinyl roof with special quarter windows.
