Vehicle Description RP Exotics is pleased to offer this 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190SL! This stunning example has received a complete frame-off nut and bolt restoration.
Finished in Anthracite Grey Metallic over a brown leather interior, this stunning car is dressed to impress.
This car has had absolutely no expense spared bringing it to its current condition.
It was completely gone through by one of the foremost 190SL restorers- Bruce L.
Adams.
He specializes in bringing tired 190SL's back to their original glory, and has been producing some of the finest examples in existence for the past 40 years.
Simply put, this is one of the finest examples that money can buy.
Our client bought the car and used it as a driver-quality 190SL for a year or so.
He then decided that it would be worth having the car gone through.
He spent roughly $175,000.
00 to bring the car to its current condition.
Prior to the restoration, the car was drivable, but the paint was past its prime as was much of the car.
The SOLEX carburetors have been switched for a set of Webers for ease of maintenance.
The engine has been fully rebuilt to Mercedes Benz specification.
There is no stone left unturned with this car.
The interior has been fully redone, the paint has been fully redone, the top is new, the interior is new, the brakes are new, the motor has been rebuilt, and much more.
Once the car was complete and returned to St.
Louis, the front clip was covered in clear film to help protect the work that was completed.
We have been provided a stack of receipts from the rigorous restoration, and it has been fully documented.
