Vehicle Description This 1956 Volkswagen Beetle Sunroof Coupe was kept tucked away in the original owner's upstate New York barn for many years before it was subjected to a complete nut-and-bolt restoration about 10 years ago.
The car received a recent oil change, valve adjustment and tune-up.
It was made in January 1956 in West Germany.
The car is presented in its original Strato Silver color.
The paint is in overall very good order but at close range there are some blemishes.
The car's trim pieces and hardware have been either replaced or refurbished - bumpers, moldings, antenna, headlight eyebrows and driver's side mirror.
This car rides on BFGoodrich 15-inch whitewall tires that are mounted on steel wheels with early, military-style KDF Hubcaps.
The car has been lowered and fitted with a Lime Bugs front suspension beam, adjustable Fox shock absorbers, Wilwood disc brakes, new tie rods, kingpins and a new steering box.
