On bringing it home, Dixon found it was incredibly well-preserved, and began the process of carefully stripping away layers of house paint to find the original USPS lettering and the truck number - 10205 - still intact.

Dixon sourced the few missing pieces from other original donors, and treated '10205' to a full restoration, which he detailed to exacting, period-correct standards.
After many years of enjoyment showing the Model A in AACA shows in the Pennsylvania region, Dixon sold the truck, and it changed hands a few times through the years though it always landed in the care of attentive collectors along the way who recognized its importance.
In recent years, it was displayed at the Saratoga Auto Museum for a period, on loan from a significant Northeast-based collection.
