Vehicle Description The St.
Louis Car Museum is pleased to present this stunning 1911 Ford Model T Speedster.
We do love all cars, and each one has its own beauty and place, but every once in a great while you find one that is more a piece of art once polished up like a new piece of jewelry.
This Model T is one of those seldom seen cars that possesses the epidemy of brass era vehicles with gleaming bright work and accessories; you just can't help but admire its beauty! Finished in a racy Bright Red with Gold vinyl pinstriping and White leatherette seat covers over custom buckets.
The brass fixtures and trim appointments are polished to a high sheen, with the overall presentation well executed.
The August 1926 production engine allows for an electric starter that was enhanced with a full 12-volt, negative ground conversion.
Also added were a Kent Atwater Type H ignition distributor, single coil, a 12-volt alternator by Texas T's, and Townsend intake manifold.
Simplicity was the main purpose of the speedster, so only an amperage meter and brass-winged Boyce Motometer exist to better monitor the engine vitals.
A four-blade cooling fan and shroud aid in this process.
Accessories include monocle windscreen, rearview mirror, oval gas tank on brass pedestal, rear-mounted toolbox with vintage tools, wire spoke wheels, Ruckstell overdrive rear axle & Rocky Mountain rear brakes, K-W ignition switch, carburetor air filter, functional bulb horn, brass Ford running board step plates, wood steering wheel, 4.
50-21 wide whitewall tires, Ford oiling can, E&J Ford Model 666 acetylene gas flame headlamps, and rear oil wick taillamp! As stunning as this machine is, it is also very capable of being driven! In fact, the engine enhancements make it quite enjoyable to drive and very easy to use.
Since the car has no odometer, we are selling the vehicle mileage exempt, but feel it had limited use since completion many years ago.
Whether you choose to display it in your garage or take it on tours, we are sure you will be delighted to call it your own! Please feel free to contact us with any questions concerning the Model T, or about Worldwide Shipping of the car once purchased.
