1 Posi-Traction (427), Feb 7th, 1968) Nearly 28,600 vehicles were produced for this new generation Corvette, but only 9,936 were built in the T-top coupe form making them a little more difficult to find, especially with favorable options and original equipment! This particular example is showing 23 miles since a complete, nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration.
The frame remains wonderfully rust free, smooth, and solid and now showcasing all new suspension, braking, exhaust, and fuel system components.
The exterior paint and interior seat upholstery were refinished beautifully and continue to show at a concours level.
The engine compartment is highlighted with proper GM hoses & tower style clamps, correct braided spark plug wires, ignition shielding, and more.
All of the electrical and vacuum systems are functional including the interior fiber optics, air conditioning (retrofitted to R134a), all interior courtesy lamps, headlight operation, factory radio, clock, dash lights, wipers, horn, etc.
It represents one of just 1,932 L68- 427ci/400 horsepower built for the 1968 model year with performance that continues to impress today.
A new battery was installed in late 2020.
It will come complete with T-top storage bags, jack, wrench, and matching redline spare tire.
It runs terrific without any disappointments! Please feel free to call with additional questions or to schedule an opportunity to view the car in person.
Thanks for looking!.
