By 1935, after the full integration of the V8 engine into every car and truck they offered, Ford continued to dominate the competition with both style, functionality, comfort, and price! The Model 51 pickup offered in 1935 was a unique, one-year only design.
If featured side hood panels with 15 louvers and Ford V8 badge highlighted directly in the center, and vertical grill slats with only two horizontal supports.
They are quite attractive, and difficult to find today in any form! We are excited to offer this customized 1935 Ford Model 51 Pickup finished in Midnight Blue Metallic and Bright Silver Metallic! It retains its all original factory steel body, fenders, running boards, and bed without any major modification! Underneath though, it now houses some modern creature comforts to spoil the next owner! Power comes from a crate 350ci V8 fitted with an Edelbrock Performer Air Gap aluminum intake & 500cfm Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke; MSD Pro-Billet distributor, Street Fire Wires & Blaster 2 coil; chrome alternator & high-torque starter; Edelbrock aluminum water pump, billet overflow tank; twin Flex-A-Lite electric cooling fans; Hedman Tight Tubes headers, fully welded exhaust system with Dynamax mufflers; billet drive pulleys with serpentine belt system; billet aluminum valve covers & spark plug wire looms, chrome air cleaner, and much more! Looking inside, you will see the custom touches continue with a special contoured bench seat finished in an Ostrich textured beige vinyl accented with silver on the lower seat, armrests, door pockets, and shifter surround! Being form fitted to the shape of the original body, it made sense to add rigidity by boxing the rails and adding tubular cross members for additional support.
The original front suspension was traded for a Heidt's Mustang II independent system utilizing chromed upper & lower control arms, Flaming River rack & pinion steering, Aldan adjustable coil-over shocks, sway bar, and power-assisted disc brakes.
The rear consists of a 12-bolt axle with disc brakes, QA1 adjustable coil-over shocks, 3.
31 gearing, Chassis Engineering ladder bars and upper axle panhard bar.
A new polyethylene gas tank was fitted, stainless steel fuel lines, brained stainless hoses, and Edelbrock fuel filter.
