Supervisory Foreclosure Specialist

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. For the GS-12 level:
Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates:
experience supervising a unit that provides mortgage loan servicing such as foreclosure work in collections, customer service, escrow, payment processing, loan administration, and/ or foreclosure sale processing; serving as a loan approval official reviewing and making decisions on various liquidation options; utilizing available resources to analyze the feasibility of liquidation options and makes decision to approve or deny recommendations; researching foreclosure accounts and applying policies, procedures, state laws, rules, and regulations across a nationwide portfolio. Experience analyzing and auditing routine accounts, drawing conclusions, proposing solutions, and take action to resolve complex problems related to foreclosure account servicing; independently communicate to customers, attorneys, state and field personnel' request for routine information related to foreclosure accounts previously in bankruptcy; determining property conditions, evaluating property values and the ability to complete Net Recovery Values. Experience providing supervision and oversight of all administrative work such as planning and assigning work, setting priorities, developing performance standards and evaluating work performance. There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level. NOTE:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
