Technical Product Engineer

The Technical Product Engineer position is one in which predominant job responsibilities and requirements occur after the sale of the company's product to the client but prior to production. Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation and maintenance of company products. May be involved in implementing detailed customer installation specifications and requirements. Ensures that client's needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification. May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Duties Include:
Determine scope of project including using alternate file formats (AFF), noting data location and translating into internal forma (028).
Open, read, and understand data files
Develop statement of work in collaboration with client and internal IT resources
Interact with IT to develop code for interpreting client data
Setup and configure new clients in Client Access System with custom group settings
Design forms using proprietary software
Support mass update of groups and rules to database tables
Create test cases based on business requirements
Test client's data and analyze output to meet requirements (checks, explanations of benefits, member letters)
Consult with leadership and system analysts to develop new solutions to meet client specific requests
Ensure project accuracy prior to transitioning client to Client Services department
Understand medical claims, insurance related documents, print and electronic processing solutions
Understand payer services technical systems and software.
Understand Payer Services products including EOBs, checks, ID cards, invoices, letters, eEOBs, web portals, data WebAPI, commission statements, capitation statements, member booklets, SPDs, Medicare part D, Medicare documents, HCFA, UBs, ADA forms, eFT, PDF indexing, 835s and virtual credit cards
Periodically visit client locations or other corporate locations
Adhere to security policies and procedures
Carry out responsibilities with highly ethical behavior, especially as it relates to HIPAA regulations
Requirements 1-2 years of professional experience leading, overseeing, or managing an implementation, project, or complex process from beginning to end; experience in healthcare and/or technology industry highly desired
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong project delivery methodology skills; Ability to achieve results in a production/quality/deadline driven environment.
Ability to drive change and effectively manage communication with internal and external customers
Self-motivated, willing to learn and adapt, and eager to succeed and advance in a team environment; ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative group
Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Aptitude to learn technical concepts quickly
Must be able to rely on and closely follow pre-established instructions, procedures, and guidelines to successfully perform the functions of the position.
HIS System experience, EPIC, Cerner will be a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
