Responsibilities and Qualifications
Performs various cleaning functions in all areas of Mercy Hospital - St. Louis to maintain orderly and sanitary conditions. Stripping and refinishing floors, extracting carpets, and participates in floor maintenance regularly (stripping and waxing should account for 90% of their daily assigned duties). Operates a variety of power equipment, including, but not limited to carpet extractors, autoscrubbers, floor burnishers, vacuums, etc. Performs heavy lifting tasks, including, but not limited to the movement of furniture and equipment. Maintains and cleans all equipment prior to its return to the storage area. Follows the seven step cleaning procedure in all patient rooms. Hangs cubicle curtains. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding priciples, and Mercy Service Standards. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum of 6 months previous work experience in the area of floor care preferred.
