Position SummaryThis position is responsible for all ASC 740 tax accounting analyses/determinations within the global tax department function. Projects include the determination of US federal, state, local and non-US affiliate corporate tax provisions, maintenance of tax basis balance sheets, global deferred tax calculation/analysis/testing, estimation of book-to-tax differences, and preparation of the quarterly/annual SEC tax footnote. The position may also need to assist with tax compliance, audits and special projects on an as-needed basis. The individual will develop effective working relationships with management, as well as finance and other operating personnel.
AccountabilitiesResponsible for quarterly/annual global tax provision process with assistance from external outsourcing team, financial accounting and external auditors.
Annual and quarterly determination of tax rate and related disclosures.
Identify and document book-to-tax differences, reconcile tax filings to tax provisions, maintain tax basis balance sheets, and test deferred tax balances.
Update and maintain documentation in support of various tax attributes including earnings and profits, foreign taxes paid, tax loss carry-forwards, valuation allowances, and tax credits.
Specific AccountabilitiesAssist with analyzing and document uncertain global tax positions.
Testing and maintenance of SOX documentation regarding tax account internal controls.
Respond to external auditor and internal accounting/finance inquiries.
Direct/manage co-sourcing team on tax provision work and special projects.
Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and/or large corporation tax department.
Knowledge of financial and tax accounting as they relate to ASC 740 essential.
Preferred Skills and ExperienceInternational tax experience helpful, but not required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and in written form, with all levels of the organization.
Team player with strong analytical and organizational skills.
Self-motivated individual with ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
Working Relationships & EnvironmentWill report to Director of Tax
Will have one direct report (Senior Tax Accountant)

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
