This position will be senior technical member of the team responsible for the engineering and design of the server infrastructure tools.- These tools support the following use cases: OS provisioning, OS Patching, script execution, task automation, software policy, server compliance, server monitoring, package creation and deployment.
We are looking for a high energy individual with deep technical skills and broad creativity around server automation and/or application support. Dedication to delivery and availability is a must, as is the ability to deliver on multiple work streams simultaneously.- This position is ideal for candidates that prefer a highly collaborative environment, working closely with Operating systems engineers, analysts and automation writers.- Candidate must have the ability to adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.- The candidate must have the ability to influence and work closely with other organizations to design a tooling infrastructure.- This position is not for people that prefer individual contributions, working alone, or 100% programming.
Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following:
Application infrastructure design
Application integration design
Coordinate with the vendor to validate functionality, resolve / application / infrastructure errors and issues as needed
Component ownership including roadmapping, implementation management, release management and Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC)
Application upgrade & lifecycle maintenance
3rd level support with On-Call for after-hours support if necessary
Provides technical expertise for technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases upgrades
Provides creation of diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and/or restore service or data to systems
Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for new releases of applications
Coaches/leads junior members of the team
Basic
Qualifications: 7
years of experience in operating systems analysis/ engineering.
Minimum
Qualifications:
3
years application design experience for server automation tools, process automation tools, workflow orchestration tools, infrastructure management tools, system management tools, or related experience
Must have enterprise experience managing implementations and integrations of applications.
Must have hands-on experience with application/infrastructure support
Strong interpersonal skills in all mediums - phone, in-person, email, IM, working across several levels of the organization, participating/leading group conference calls
Prioritization, multi-tasking, autonomy, detail-oriented, collaborative
Microsoft Office skillset (Excel, Word, Access primarily)
Desire and aptitude for problem solving
Positive attitude
Ability to prepare and present content to Senior Executives/Leaders
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex systems and large scale enterprise infrastructure
Experience with large projects and mid- to large enterprises
Preferred Skills:
Automation Experience
Application support experience for HP Operations Orchestration, HP Server Automation, or similar tools
Scripting: Python, PowerShell, VB, WMI, Shell, Batch, Java, or OGSH/ROSH
Fundamental understanding of Oracle Databases
Oracle or MS SQL database administration experience and/or sql query development.
Problem/Incident/Change Tools (Remedy, Service Now, IBM Maximo, etc)et, and reporting experience
Understanding and experience with Configuration Management Databases (CMDB)
Share Point experience.
Experience with or general knowledge of ITIL framework Trend analysis experience
Knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure topology & architecture, distribution, scaling, virtualization and system engineering
