Title: Information Security Engineer, Lead Location: Missouri-St. Louis
Key Role:
Support client's Cyber security cell with 24x7x365 event monitoring and event investigating and support the activities and equipment needed to safeguard the client's computer infrastructure. Develop sensor deployment plans for each NGA enterprise network, deploying network-based intrusion detection and prevention solutions and configuring and maintaining the systems. Maintain sensors, including scripting, updating IDS/IPS vendor signatures, and fine-tuning, supporting the recap of sensors to the NGA environment, and troubleshooting and resolving of networking problems. Track and report on status, including up and down, current network connectivity, and troubleshooting process, update applicable spreadsheets and trackers, and provide updates for morning report. Maintain currency of system architecture diagrams, including logical and physical, such as hardware, software, ports, switches, IP addresses, installations, and upgrades. Analyze existing solutions to incorporate requested enhancements, review, analyze requested changes for equipment, technology, and other factors and trends, which may impact existing solution, and consult with hardware, communications, database experts, and vendors to ensure system viability. Support testing new network security technologies, install or provide software installation guidance and support for IDS/IPS sensors and servers, and develop software solutions to automate aspects of IDS/IPS daily operations that commercial vendors are unable to address.
Basic
Qualifications:
-15 years of experience in a professional work environment with 6 years of experience with network engineering
-Experience with Sourcefire
-Experience with network packet traffic analysis
-Knowledge of IDS, IPS, and SIEM signature analysis, development and testing, Web content filtering analysis, development and testing, and security system tool reporting utilities
-Knowledge of Linux and Unix and Scripting languages, including Perl, Python, and JavaScript
-Knowledge of signature development with packet analysis, including HTTP headers and status codes, SMTP traffic and status codes, FTP traffic and status codes, DNS queries, PKI certificate exchange, and other ports and protocols
-TS/SCI clearance
-MA or MS degree
-DoD 8570 Management Level III Certification
-SourceFire Certified Professional (SFCP) Certification
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with system administration
-Experience with process improvement
-MA or MS degree in Computer Information Systems, CS, IT, Information Science, Information Systems, or a related field in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
-ISC2 Certification
