Expertise in one or more UNIX distributions, competent in all active UNIX distributions. Can design and architect medium to high level environments. Advanced understanding of standard monitoring tools such as Wily, BMC Patrol and ActiveWatch. Take technical leadership role with Installing and configuring new application environments including WebSphere, MQ, Apache, Tomcat, BigIP, and others. Maintain existing application environments and is the escalation point for Service Support to support mission critical
services
(position has on-call responsibilities). Work with internal development groups and vendors to define application release procedures and common issue resolution. Define, implement and audit infrastructure best practices and document service monitors. Able to write documents that are understandable by both teams and business partners. Interact with network services, systems engineering services, vendors and applications development to restore service and/or help identify and correct complex problems. QUALIFICATIONS 8-12 years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field or 14-18 years of experience without 6-10 years of experience with a Master's Degree 5 years of enterprise - class WebSphere engineering experience, including configuring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and deploying applications Mule/tomcat/JBOSS experience is a plus Unix scripting required (Korn Shell, Perl, SQL, Oracle, Java, or Jython,) Windows experience Thorough knowledge of programming concepts, procedures and practices Experience in multi-platform distributed environment Wily experience a plus Unix administration is a plus LI-TM1 BETS_ARC_Setter BACH_a33d1a MYK62683JREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
