Business Analyst Position Definition: Under general direction, carries out procedures and performs assigned tasks. Prepares analysis of business and users' needs and formulates/defines systems scope and objectives based on knowledge of applicable business systems. Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Defines and prioritizes the product backlog based on business goals and objectives. Reporting Responsibility: This position reports to a member of

management. Essential Duties: Primary duty includes the creation of detailed web-base specifications using the agile planning software tool- JIRA. Specifications will encompass many phases of the full software-development life cycle. Contributes to the development of accurate and effective systems through system design specification and system testing. Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. Develops and revises existing system logic difficulties and documentation. Documents and resolves problems and reports resolution progress to management. Follows practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies. Secures test benchmarks and/or documents expectations for accuracy and completeness and compares test results against such. Identifies, investigates, and documents discrepancies. Ensures completion of any and all phases of projects. Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements. Maintains expertise in applicable technical platforms/applications and Quality Assurance techniques. Acquires additional business knowledge and improves interpersonal/communication skills. Provides guidance to less experienced analysts/programmers. Additional Duties: Performs a variety of other duties as assigned. Required Minimum
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in an Information Systems discipline or related field; or, an equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience. Five or more years of experience in IS development/support. Experience working within an agile team environment and has a basic understanding of the core concepts of Scrum. Knowledge of sound fundamental design, analysis, and Software Quality Assurance tools, standards, methodologies. Familiarity of operating systems, networks and agile planning software tools. Demonstrated team building, teaching, and interviewing skills. Highly effective analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills. Ability to investigate complex business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and/or present solutions, and resolve problems in a highly professional and tactful manner. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
