Senior Cost Accountant Looking for a Senior Cost Accountant for a position based east of St Louis, MO. Requirements: Possess the ability to effectively communicate with others, written and verbal Oracle OneWorld and/or Enterprise One experience a plus Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access Education/Training: B.S. or B.A. in accounting
Experience: Three to five years Cost accounting experience ERP Systems experience Essential duties: Monitor all invoicing and costing transactions to ensure compliance with established Company procedures. Review material and labor additions to and deletions from inventory. Analyze inventory variances relating to raw material inventories, completed stock
jobs
and differences book to detail. Compare cost of goods sold with sales revenue at period-end to determine consistency with prior period results; investigates differences. Review periodic system journal entries involving material, labor and overhead cost for accuracy and prepare corrections when required. Maintain accountability for all costing reserves at period-end. Prepare all customer cancellation charges and cancellation estimates. Monitor all external inventories and cost of goods sold transactions and prepare financial statements in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for the preparation of periodic sales, inventory and labor reports. Calculate inventory turnover rate for all inventory locations. Participate in the performance of the annual physical inventory and subsequent reconciliation of same. Assist in the preparation of year-end audit schedules as required, working in cooperation with the outside auditors. Prepare special reports/analysis at the direction of the Corporate Controller. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
