LEAD POLICE OFFICER (TITLE 5) with Security Clearance

Dutieso Directs and manages a Security Forces Flight for the installation with military, dependents, DoD civilian and contractor populations and protection level resources.
o Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and flight objectivesResearches, interprets, analyzes and applies proper law enforcement and security guidelines, policies, and regulations.
o Establishes local policies and procedures for accomplishment of law enforcement and security objectives.
o Plans and schedules work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution.
o Serves as the work leader by planning, organizing, and coordinating the activities of three or more Police Officers.
o Performs and enforces the full range of police officer duties within the military installation.
o Directs or personally performs preliminary and final short-term investigations of a broad range of alleged and actual crimes occurring solely within the local installation jurisdiction.
o Acts as the on-scene incident commander for significant and catastrophic events as required and initiates Air Force Incident Management System (AFIMS) as needed.
o Performs the full range of installation perimeter access control duties.
o Conducts background checks of all visitors requesting access onto the installation by identity proofing and vetting via Law Enforcement database to make a fitness determination.
o Performs the full range of duties for defending Protection Level Resources.
o Enforces applicable security requirements.
o Detects and eliminates threats to the restricted area and detains and apprehends violators.
o Processes complaints and inquiries from origination through case closure and maintains case files as appropriate.
o Performs as Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC) Controller and Alarm Monitor.
o Accesses law enforcement databases to retrieve information and complete reports.
o Ensures processing in accordance with current biometric collection procedures.
o Conducts training classes for security forces personnel.
o Plans, coordinates, and executes training exercises.
o Performs other duties as assignedRequirements Conditions of Employmento United States Citizenship is required.
