Research Assistant, Deruisseau Lab

The research lab of Dr. Lara Deruisseau in the College of Arts & Science at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis (UHSP) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of full-time research assistant to help support Dr. Deruisseau's research in understanding cardiovascular physiology in Down syndrome. In this role, you will assist with various research endeavors, including but not limited to assisting in the collection of data while conducting independent research, supervising undergraduate researchers, and writing manuscripts related to the research. The position will work 37.5 hours/week and will follow the UHSP calendar for holidays and university closures.
This is a grant-funded position ending August 31, 2024 (with possibility of extension based on grant funding).
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A master's degree in a Natural Science or Exercise Science.
Prior experience studying Down syndrome is required.
Knowledge of basic research methods and prior experience in research is required
The abilities to run cardiovascular physiology tests is required.
Strong academic writing skills and communication skills
This position will work with others on campus and be responsible for supervising undergraduate researchers
Ability to work regular business hours and evenings and weekends as needed. This position does include some remote flexibility.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
