Job SpecificMaintains current knowledge of all popular alcoholic beverages and cocktail recipesPrepares all necessary mixers and garnishes prior to start of service and during shift as neededSets up bar service area with all necessary glassware and supplies prior to start of service Mis en PlaceCleans and restocks glassware throughout shiftGreets guests in a polite professional manner according to Loews standardsDetermines guests needs and suggestively up-sells beverages so as to enhance the guest experienceRecords all aspects of guest order accurately and enters them into computerPrepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to order upon requestServes guests in a polite, professional manner according to Loews StandardsMonitors guests to prevent over indulgence and ensure safetyMaintains cleanliness and sanitation of bar service area at all timesPrepares and presents accurate record of guest chargesCollects monies due and or applies charges to guest account using POS terminalCompletes end of shift revenue report and cash depositInventories all beverages and operating supplies, orders replacement items as neededPerforms all closing duties, secures all inventory and suppliesOther duties as assignedGeneralPromotes and applies teamwork skills at all timesNotifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significanceIs polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team membersExecutes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standardsComplies with required safety regulations and proceduresAttends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessionsMaintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areaComplies with hotel standards, policies and rulesRecycles whenever possibleRemains current with hotel information and changesComplies with hotel uniform and grooming standardsQualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentOne
years experience as Bartender in a high volume, upscale Hotel or free standing Lounge environmentThorough knowledge of Alcoholic Beverages, Cocktail recipes, preparation methods, glassware, equipment and serviceCertification of training in Responsible Vendor requirements or ability to obtain sameExceptional guest service skillsBasic computer and cash handling skillsAbility to stand stoop, bend and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively during entire shiftAbility to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays Recommended Skills Courtesy Foods Friendliness Glassware Medical Emergency Safety Principles Apply to this job.
