Leads production of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts and processes.

BR&T is looking for Nondestructive Evaluation Engineers to join our team in Berkeley, Missouri, located in the greater Saint Louis area.
We are looking for a broad range of experience, including Associate, Mid-Level, or Lead level NDE Engineers.
The Midwest Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) and Fleet Support team is part of the Research & Technology department.
We are an engineering team supporting space, commercial and defense air vehicles programs such as:
787, 777X, F-15, F-18, AV-8B, T-7A, T-45, MQ-25, KC-46, P-8, B-52, B-1, KC-135, Executive Transport platforms, Commercial Crew Transportation, Space Launch, and weapon systems.
Our team is responsible for NDE Engineering supporting of pre-production, current production, and post-production efforts.
Along with supporting the aforementioned space commercial and defense programs the team provides supplier standup/certification, fabrication support/trouble-shooting and fleet support activities across the Boeing value stream.
The team also conducts NDE research and development for both internal and external customers.
Position
Responsibilities:
o Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical and radiologic principles, in developing new and novel methods/approaches to address affordability and supportability objectives o Develop new sensor technology and testing systems for nondestructive evaluation (NDE) applied to manufacturing and support areas o Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and maintenance of products and approve their use o Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes o Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations o Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to address business needs o Leads development, validation and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements o Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements o Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements o Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas o Supports the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation Required Skill Set :
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry o 9
years of experience in engineering o Experience with nondestructive evaluation processes (e.
g.
, ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection) o Active / Current Secret U.
S.
Security Clearance Desired Skills Set :
o Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics o Experience with Shearography and computed tomography o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Experience working in multi-discipline teams, a strong desire to work with technical and non-technical customers o Experience with project management tools o Excellent time management skills to manage several simultaneous projects effectively and across various geographical locations Education Qualification :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.
g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.
g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
In the USA, AClient accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
