Louis is seeking a Development Officer to lead their Professional Society initiative and to develop and lead their Corporate Partnerships program.
The Professional Society of the Jewish Federation of St.
Louis is a giving society consisting of those who work (or are retired) in the Business and Real Estate, Healthcare, Financial Services and Legal fields.
We convene, connect, and catalyze individuals committed to the work of the Jewish Federation of St.
Louis based on industry and shared interests.
Members are donors who support the Federation's Annual Campaign.
We provide programs, education credit and networking opportunities to our members and guests.
This position plays an integral role on the development team by working closely with the lay leaders and committees that govern Federation's Professional Society to create meaningful and impactful experiences for our community; developing, growing and providing executive cultivation of Federation's existing corporate partnership program; and serves as a vital member of the development team while also managing a portfolio of Federation donors.
This is a full-time exempt position with an annual starting salary between 65,000-73,000.

Responsibilities of our Development Officer - Professional Society and Corporate Partnerships:
Creating, implementing and executing the annual engagement and development work plan for the Professional Society and Corporate Partnerships, in collaboration with the Professional Society Leadership Advisory Council and the Development Team; Managing the Professional Society Leadership Advisory Council to vision future plans; Overseeing execution of all Professional Society member and engagement events including working with event chairs and committee members; Implementing fundraising strategies to increase the dollars raised within this segment including a personal portfolio of approximately 80 donors and prospects; Developing and managing a corporate partnership program for the Jewish Federation to achieve fundraising goals; Developing and implementing marketing campaigns that define the benefits of engaging with Federation events and groups.
Serving as a primary contact, cultivating, and soliciting each year to grow corporate sponsorships revenue and corporate gifts.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements for our Development Officer - Professional Society and Corporate Partnerships:
Bachelor's degree, required.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in development, sales, or related field.
Knowledge of St.
Louis' Jewish community, preferred.
Experience as a front-line fundraiser with proven track record of donor cultivation and solicitation experience preferred, including securing five figure gifts.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to develop strategic plans and implement those plans.
Excellent time-management with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell compelling stories to inspire donors.
Ability to use discretion when handling and communicating sensitive information.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products; experience using a database preferred.
