The Associate Vice President of Development (AVPD) will provide direction, leadership, and mentoring specific to the fundraising efforts of KVC Missouri.
With a supportive and encouraging leadership style, this position develops and guides teams that are results oriented.
The AVPD must be self-motivated, and outcome and solution driven.
This role will personally maintain, cultivate, and solicit a portfolio of major and principal gift constituents.
The person in this position fosters good relationships with the KVC Missouri leadership team, the Vice President of Development, and the President of the Foundation.
The AVPD will represent KVC Missouri and the KVC Foundation in a professional manner creating a positive image with all constituencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Associate Vice President of Development will:
Build and manage a personal portfolio of major and transformational giving from individuals, foundations, and corporations to achieve personal fundraising goals.
Develop a compelling case for support, carefully aligning KVC Missouri organizational needs with funder interests that shapes the overall campaign narrative, proposals, and pitches for philanthropic support.
Lead fundraising strategy, planning, and execution of campaign and annual goals in partnership with the Foundation President, ensuring that we sustain current giving, as well as identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new donors.
Work closely with campaign consultant to manage the campaign timeline and promote timely decision-making and activity in alignment with the campaign timetable and organizational priorities.
Monitor campaign progress on a consistent bases using established metrics and provide reporting to the Foundation President.
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Provide oversight and support of fundraising events, including donor cultivations events, regional council events, recognition events, and community engagement events in Missouri.
Stay up to date and knowledgeable about fundraising best practices and campaign management.
This position may require travel to meet performance goals.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the President of the Foundation, leadership staff, and as donors, potential supports, and strategies warrant.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education:
Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
Master's Degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive fundraising experience, with a proven track record of success in campaign leadership and major gifts fundraising.
Knowledgeable of best practices in all key areas of Development.
Experience managing and motivating teams to achieve fundraising goals.
Demonstrated success in fund development, including major and planned giving expertise.
