6 Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION Covenant House Missouri is seeking a dynamic team member in support of the work to transform lives of young people ages 16-24 who are experiencing homelessness.
The Advancement Specialist-Marketing and Communications will serve as a key member of the Advancement team.
This role will be responsible for the production of a full range of communications materials and strategies to effectively support the organization's brand and strategic goals and to convey Covenant House Missouri's mission to diverse constituencies in a manner that reflects the mission, philosophy, and policies of Covenant House.
ESSENTIAL JOB
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy with corresponding annual goals to advance Covenant House Missouri's mission Responsible for the creation of content for Covenant House Missouri's digital presence (i.
e:
website, social media accounts, and email campaigns) including photography, videography, story writing and design.
Coordinates photography and/or videography at all events; maintains a photo/video library of current, media-released images Develop relationships with local media outlets to build the organization's media presence and contribute to an increased external media coverage pickup rate Provides oversight and ensures consistency of the usage of the branding of CHMO (including logo usage) internally and externally Work with external vendors to purchase printed and promotional materials Manage the production of Covenant House Missouri's annual report, appeal letters, and other printed content; Responsible for research, design, layout, printing, and distribution.
Update and maintain CHMO's website; perform monthly audits to ensure content is timely and accurate Write extensively, producing and posting content across multiple platforms - web, media releases, e-newsletters, printed materials, and social media.
Manage and maintain social media channels; implement unique strategies to drive traffic Ensure the accuracy of all written and digital content, spelling, and grammar.
Facilitate the acquisition of youth success stories, photos, and videos; collaborate which each department to ensure we are capturing our work in an authentic, meaningful way Support fundraising events through the creation of marketing materials and secured media coverage; Contribute to an increase in events revenue Monitor consistency of all material within the style and established guidelines of the Covenant House Missouri brand.
Collaborate with all internal departments to assist with printed and digital marketing needs including (but not limited to):
promoting campus events, updating the digital content on the TV in the lobby, maintaining the employee bulletin board, and consistently updating signage around the building.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to increase Covenant House Missouri's audiences and engagement through collaborative, strategic, and timely publication of multimedia content Experience with MS office applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Experience with design software, such as InDesign and Canva.
Experience in web design and website management Experience posting and uploading content to social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment Experience analyzing social media analytics to improve online engagement strategies Experience in the human service industry preferred Ability to proactively organize and prioritize work, resolve problems and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills in interacting with staff, volunteers, guests, donors and media.
Work well both independently and collaboratively SUPERVISORY DUTIES This position does not supervise any other position.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Regular contact with all CHMO staff, vendors, suppliers, and board members, media and outside agencies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma required, Bachelors preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, Public Relations, or other related field plus experience in Fund Development, Marketing and Communications, or Administration WORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS Moderate concentration.

Moderate sitting, standing and eye strain, light walking, bending and lifting.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
