Overview:
This position provides the necessary leadership, planning, direction and coordination of all Mercy public safety operations.
The purpose of this position is to identify and mitigate security risk to all employees, physicians, patients and visitors throughout Mercy.
Knowledge of and ability to apply principles and techniques of system thinking, and continuous quality improvement.
Ability to direct, manage and prioritize multiple initiatives simultaneously, and to adapt rapidly to changing schedules priorities and workflow.
Ability to efficiently staff departments using workflow volumes, while maintaining budget compliance.
Strong knowledge of current and emerging security technology and integrated security systems.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum ten years of progressive leadership responsibility in corporate, government, healthcare or military security operations program.
Includes general operations, regulatory compliance, and operating and capital budget development.
Successful leadership experience with multi-location operations.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or other related field.
Other:
Communication and interpersonal skills for frequent contact with internal customers and external stakeholders.
Ability to persuade and negotiate in situations that may be controversial and/or sensitive.
Project Management skills, including the ability to use Lean skills for identifying the problem, developing a solution, and measuring the outcome.
Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Strong human resource skills for hiring and retaining an engaged workforce that demonstrates Mercy values at all times.
Strong presentation skills and commitment to Mercy traditions and values and to the Catholic Health Care ministry.
Able to balance business decisions with Mercy traditions and values.
Requires knowledge and use of various computer software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
