Platform (Devops) Engineer at Bon Secours Health System in Remote
SUMMARY The Platform Engineer will develop, implement and maintain cloud service offerings, enabled by appropriate cloud orchestration, integration and automation solutions. The Platform Engineer will also oversee security and compliance of the cloud system. Remote/work from home - eastern time zone hours ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for prototyping, feature deployment, usability testing, and documentation - in alignment with platform architect & service owners Develop, test, deploy and document automation workflows (e.g. event/incident management, provisioning and deployment self-service etc.) - based on user experience inputs from cloud service owners and analysts/admins Engage effectively in agile practices (e.g., stand-ups - surfacing impediments, planning - work breakdown, retros - continuous improvements.) Provide L2 support to analysts in troubleshooting (A) cloud integration and configuration requests, and (B) in-house/3rd party tool related incidents/events Evangelize and educate users (e.g. incl. business app developers/architects) about cloud programming, configuration and integration solutions Work with tech leads and teams to ensure security is built into app development, network infrastructure and cloud systems Implement industry leading practices around cyber risks and Cloud security and perform security assessments of cloud platforms/environments using industry standard frameworks such as ISO, CSA-CSM and NIST Work with other tech teams to ensure security is built into app development, network infrastructure and cloud systems QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors Degree required Masters / PhD in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering preferred 1 year of experience working in security, Azure cloud engineering, or Azure architecture role required 3
years of experience working in security, Azure cloud engineering, or Azure architecture role preferred ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED Standard web services / APIs (e.g., RESTful, SOAP) Attention to detail Programming (e.g., Python) Critical thinking Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Docker) Relationship building Cloud platform knowledge (e.g., Azure) Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders Cloud architecture knowledge (e.g., understanding of cost curves based on consumption patterns) Translation of complex technical concepts Security and compliance programming (e.g., encryption, DLP, authentication) Agile work process

$80K -- $100K
